Fees are set by the committee at a rate to cover essential running costs and are currently £6 per session and a £2 charge for lunch club. We do not make a profit and are committed to keeping fees as low as possible. We also accept childcare vouchers please click here for further information.

Our preschool qualifies for county funding for all 3 and 4 year olds which is paid straight to the preschool.  At the present time, funding is available at the beginning of the term after your child’s 3rd birthday. You will receive a form to complete once your child is eligible. Funding cannot be used for lunch club.

KEY WORKER SCHEME
divider

Our key worker scheme gives each member of staff particular responsibility for a group of children. Each child in the group has a special adult to relate to and the key worker is in a position to know that the child’s needs are met.  planting

Your child’s Key Worker will keep a record of your child’s progress and use this to help them reach their full potential.

Your Key worker will be happy to discuss your child’s progress with you and listen to any concerns you may have regarding your child. During the year you will have an opportunity to speak with your child’s Key Worker in an arranged confidential meeting.

COMMITTEE
divider

An elected, voluntary parent management committee runs the pre-school in line with the Preschool learning Alliance Constitution. This is to ensure that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. Without this support the preschool cannot operate.

The committee must ensure that any problems are fully discussed, suitable staff employed, be responsible for the finances and organise fund raising events.

An Annual General meeting is held during the Autumn term to discuss the past year and elect the committee. This meeting is open to all parents and any new parents are welcome to join the committee throughout the year.

Committee meetings are usually held monthly during the term time at a time that suits everyone. Topics discussed vary from fund raising to first aid, rent to raffle tickets. We always aim to be professional but have fun and learn new skills

For further information about the committee please speak to the supervisor who will be able to answer any questions.
