Parents are asked to keep their children at home if they are unwell and ensure they are fully recovered before they return to Preschool. If your child has been vomiting or has diarrhoea please do not bring them to preschool until at least 48 hours has elapsed since the last attack. Please inform staff if your child contracts an infectious disease. Equal Opportunities We believe that the preschool's activities should be open to all children and families and to all adults committed to thier welfare. We aim to ensure that all who wish to work in or volunteer to help with our preschool have an equal chance to do so. We aim to show respectful awareness of all major events in the lives of the children and families in the preschool and in our society as a whole and welcome the diversity of background from which they come. Complaints We anticipate that most concerns will be resolved quickly by an informal approach to the appropriate member of staff. If this does not achieve the desired result, we have a set of procedures for dealing with concerns. Special Educational Needs Each child should able to progress at their own rate in all areas of development and this is true for children with or without Special Needs or Learning Difficulties. We aim to regard the Dfes Code of Practice of S.E.N and to provide a welcome and appropriate opportunity for all children. Behaviour Management If there is a problem with a child's continued unacceptable behaviour, we will discuss this with the parent to try to find a solution that will fit the needs of the individual child. No child will be smacked or sent from the room by any of the staff. |
