Towcester Scout Hall Preschool is a long established Preschool situated in the heart of Towcester and has been part of children’s lives in the local area for40 years.
We are a registered charity, based at the Scout Hall on Baden Powell Crescent, and pride ourselves on providing a safe, secure and stimulating experience for children aged from two years to school age.
The Preschool is managed by Sian Walker, and supported by three qualified assistants. We focus on providing a friendly setting, offering fun and friendship in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Each child is allocated a keyworker to enable a close bond to build between them and a member of staff.
Free play is encouraged for all children, with plenty of choices available to them to ensure they have a mixture of arts and crafts, role play and outside stimulation so their time flies by! Snacks are on offer each day and, as the Preschool is committee run by volunteer parents, it encourages parent involvement so you can get a chance to see your child grow and learn each day they are at Preschool. Technology has allowed us to become far more professional in the way we present ourselves, specifically in the way in which we keep records of children’s development. We currently use iPads and a computer programme to build a portfolio of the children’s time with us which is then emailed directly to parents.
The Preschool is continuously striving to improve both its indoor play area as well as its outdoor space and is planning to make much more of what it has available, recently boasting a brand new mud kitchen! Towcester’s Waitrose Community Matters scheme has recently helped contribute to these plans, proving to be invaluable.
All childcare voucher schemes are accepted and funded places are available for over 3s as well as eligible 2 year olds.
